EMT bust

Well, I passed the test for the NREMT, but things aren't all peachy. Turns out that the form they mail you after you pass the test involves getting signitures from your employer saying that you know your stuff. I don't have an employer. MJ called them up to complain about the 70 bucks we just spent to take a test that has no effect on my renewal and they now say I just need to take a practical exam. This is no small thing though, and would cost another 50 bucks. Also, no one seems to be offering one of these tests until the day after the NREMT wants it by. It's a headache, but I guess that's what you get for putting the department of transportation in charge of anything.

So, I'll be looking for a job this summer. We'd like to get a couple things paid off so MJ can either work part time or not at all as soon as possible. I've applied to be an EMT at the amusement park downtown (I am still state certified), but I haven't heard back from them. MJ heard from someone at her work that theres some job working security at concerts. I'm not sold on this. Maybe I just have it worked up to be something a bit tougher than it is. I can tell you I'm not going to be walking into some mosh pit to pull people apart, but she says if the guy who was telling her about the job can do it, it should be no problem for me. We'll see. If it turns out to be alright I may go with it. There's not a lot of choice.
